In our paper we inform about children detective investigations which were realised at www.sherlock-holmes.sk portal. We analyse children solutions in searching for the stolen jewel. We use inquiry to sum up children skills with computer and internet and look for relations between children skills and applying the skills in concrete problem solving. Analysis of the competition can help teacher to focus on special techniques which could be useful in developing problem-solving approach at work with students.
